Technique Junkies Stamps - New Release!!!

Can you believe it's July already?! Where has the time flown? In Michigan, we have definitely had our share of rain this season, but it finally looks like we may have some good weather for a change!

So, with that inspiration in mind, let's move into summer with the new Technique Junkies stamp release for July. The stamps in this collection scream summer and tropical and warm. I think you're going to love them.

I had so much fun with these new stamps! I am a flamingoholic, so that one was totally my cup of tea. And the sailboat is so striking...great for a masculine card. All the stamps I played with were so fun to color using different mediums. I'm sure you will agree once you try them for yourself.

Let's get the business details out of the way:

Now onto the fun stuff!

Stamps Used:
- Sailing Panel
- Smooth Sailing

Other Products Used: Nautical Background Paper, Colored Pencils, Embossing Powder

This card has a lot of layers which really highlights the focal image. I had some great nautical paper which I trimmed to various sizes. I matted the focal image and sentiment with a blue background and attached them to the card with foam tape. The image was colored with colored pencils. Even though there is a lot going on with this card, it was very simple to create. I will definitely be using this image again. I think it will make a great bookmark!

Stamps Used:
- Foot Down
TJ Products Used:
- Kaisercraft Gel Pens
Other Products Used:  Bubble Wrap (for background), Distress Oxide Inks, Enamel Dots

I had created this fun background a while ago and had it just waiting for the perfect stamp. Well, this Flamingo was IT! If you've never created a bubble wrap background, it is super easy. Take a piece of bubble wrap and ink it up with your favorite color. Stamp on your cardstock in a random pattern, reink, and repeat. I love the effect it creates. The image was colored with Kaisercraft Gel Pens. You can see a little better in the close-up how shimmery these pens are. I was even to make the crown a twinkly gold! And check out the shine on that beak!

Stamps Used:
- Just Keep Swimming
- Texture Waves
TJ Products Used:
- Shimmering Bliss (Ocean Depth)
- Nuvo Glitter Markers
Other Products Used:  Memento Ink (Summer Sky and Bahama Blue), sequins, Nuvo Crystal Glaze

How can you not fall in love with the expressions on these fish?! So stinkin' cute! I used the Bahama Blue to stamp the waves background, then gave it a coat of Shimmering Bliss. For the focal point, I stamped the fish and sentiment (all one stamp) and then colored each fish in with Nuvo Glitter Markers. Oh my goodness! The shine on these fish! I added some Crystal Glaze to the eyes and let that dry. I stamped the background on top of the image, wiped off the eyes, then gave it a coat of Shimmering Bliss and quickly wiped off the eyes again. I edged that panel with a Nuvo Marker, added some sequins, and more Crystal Glaze for "bubbles". The focal panel was attached with foam tape. What a fun shimmery, shiny, whimsical card!

Stamps Used:
- Drink In One Hand
TJ Products Used:
Kaisercraft Gel Pens
Other Products Used:  Washi Tape, Lucy's Jewels, Colored Pencils

I would love to hang out on the beach with this llama drinking umbrella drinks! I created a very subtle background with colored pencils and colored in the image. I added highlights with Gel Pens, and even went over the lettering with different colors. I added a few jewels and attached the panel to my card base which was edged with Washi Tape.

Who wouldn't love to receive one of these cards. I particularly like the sailboat because it shows new cardmakers how to use traditional products-paper, stamp, embossing powder, colored pencils-to make beautiful cards.
