On The Monogram Wagon

Had some fun this weekend playing with my Silhouette Cameo and vinyl. Decided I was in need of monogramming some "stuff". I now have a very happy tote, planner cover and ipad case.

How fun are they! Can you tell I like flamingos? LOL  In case you missed my post on Technique Junkies, here is the planner divider I did:

Stay tuned for new projects!!!

I have four cards to share with you today! The cards all feature new releases. If you'd like to check out all the new stamps available, just follow this link to the January Release Page.

First up is "Love in my Heart"...

I simply layered the card base, a black panel and a gingham panel. I then used my Scan-N-Cut to cut out the red hearts. I stamped and embossed the Love Heart Stamp (SD769), which is heart-shaped, and adhered that to the back of the open heart. The fancy heart was adhered to the card and the love heart added with foam adhesive. The heart outline was highlighted with some clear Wink of Stella and I added a few black pearls to the corner to add a little decoration.

Next, "Love and Madness"...

For this card, I used all three stamps from the Love and Poison Set (SS063). I stamped the sentiment on a piece of vellum and embossed it with black embossing powder. I trimmed and inserted the vellum into a metal tag frame. I then stamped the two bottles with Versamark and red glitter embossing powder. I trimmed them down and added some foam tape to the back. For the background, on a separate piece of cardstock, I embossed the Messy Love Stamp (S744) with some salmon-colored powder, and then trimmed it down. I then used an embossing pen and more red glitter powder to add a border to the card base. I wrapped a shear ribbon around the panel and adhered that to the card base, then added the tag and bottles. I used a red marker to color in the heart on the tag and clear Wink of Stella to add highlights to the lettering.

Now we have "I Love You"...

This card features a great background stamp, Love Knots (S720). I did sort of an ombre effect using four Altenew stamp pads ranging from light to dark on a white panel. That was trimmed down and adhered to a red panel and placed on the card base. Using a silver rub-on, I added the sentiment to a red piece of cardstock. I then diecut and mounted that to the card using foam tape.

Last up, "Yours"...

I love how this card turned out! I used a narrow embossing folder to add a panel to the card base. Then, using a silver rub-on, I added the frame to the front of the card and the frame and sentiment to the inside of the card. I then stamped the Being Yours Stamp (SD727) inside the panel in black ink. I highlighted the doves with clear Wink of Stella.

I'll admit that I had a hard time transitioning from Christmas to hearts. But once I got started, new stamps in hand, making these cards turned out to be a very welcomed change. I hope I got you anxious to try some new stamps too. Don't forget to "hop" on to all the Design Team Blogs and see more of the new releases and some great projects. Next up is the very talented Beth Norman: http://www.sunflowers-dragonflies.ca.
